One warm summer day Danny went to the museum because he wanted to see what was inside. (p.5)

He saw so many cool things: Indians, bears, Eskimos, guns, swords, and best of all. . .DINOSAURS!!!

Danny loved dinosaurs and he really wished he had one of his own.

As he gazed at the museum dinosaur with longing, saying to himself "I'm sorry they aren't real. It would be so nice to play with a real dinosaur."

"I think it would be nice to play with you," said a mysterious voice. Danny turned around amazed-the dinosaur was talking to him!

"Can you really?" Danny asked the dino.

"Yes" said the friendly dinosaur. Danny was thrilled. "What can we do together?"

"Let's go for a ride!" said the dinosaur, lowering his long neck so Danny could hop aboard.

Danny and the dinosaur proceeded to explore the city. They got themselves into many predicaments, including getting tangled in a clothes line, climbing on buildings, and giving rides to pedestrians. He even created a bridge across the the street.

At the end of the day, Danny and his dino got ice cream and went to the zoo to see the other animals. However, everyone just wanted to see the dinosaur.

When they leave the zoo, the duo returns to Danny's house to play with all of Danny's friends. The dinosaur taught them tricks and gives them rides. The even played hide-and-seek, but Dino was not a very good hider.

When all the children left, Danny and the dinosaur were forced to say goodbye to each other. Danny was sad, but he understood. "I've had the best time I've had in over a hundred million years. But now it's time for me to get back to the museum."
